The author of "The Peron Era" discusses the background, nature and prospects of the Communist movements in Latin America. In his conclusion he offers some policy prescriptions based in part upon his judgment that the most effective opponents of Communism "are those elements of the Democratic Left which are trying in a democratic way to bring about the social revolution which is so necessary to the future of Latin America."
