India, Pakistan and Bangladesh-Search for New Relationship
The bloody birth of Bangladesh and its aftermath is viewed as an inevitable process whereby Pakistan painfully gives up the attempt to "deny to India its natural power superiority." It is suggested that only Washington's use of Pakistan as a tool in its strategy of "encirclement of the oil-rich Persian Gulf" maintains Pakistan's "intransigence in its dealings with India."
