Kissinger: The European Mind in American Policy
Bruce Mazlish is emerging as an outstanding practitioner of psychohistory and biography. This study is far more sophisticated and illuminating than his In Search of Nixon (1972). He applies psychoanalytical hypotheses to Kissinger without ignoring the external world or making exaggerated claims for his approach. A serious, readable book.
