The Superpowers and Their Spheres of Influence
A systematic examination of Soviet and U.S. relationships with their neighbors in Eastern Europe and Latin America, this book takes an essentially broad view. The author deliberately minimizes the role of domestic factors in determining foreign policy. While the book deals with recent as well as past events, it has a somewhat static quality, as fits the author's mode of analysis.
