A lavishly illustrated survey of more than 500 weapons currently in U.S. service, many of which have been sold or given to other nations. The weapons' characteristics, costs and sales data appear accurate. The book is grounded in the assumption that the United States produces more weapons than it needs from a war economy that it cannot support.
