A collection of short essays which includes both primer-like discussions on many of the basic issues concerning nuclear nonproliferation and some sophisticated analyses. The two chapters by Victor Gilinsky, a Commissioner of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, are noteworthy, but the most original contribution is that of Roberta Wohlstetter on the Canadian and American peaceful nuclear assistance to New Delhi, which ended with India's nuclear explosion in 1974.
