Palestinian Society and Politics; The Sociology of the Palestinians
Two books on Palestinian society which reflect their differing origins and authors, one by Israeli and American sociologists, the other by Arab Palestinians. The first is the more scholarly and scientific, the second more impassioned and political. But one can discern some common threads, and in any event the appearance of all such studies helps to broaden knowledge of a people with which the world's leaders have found they have to be concerned.
