Road Maps to the Future: A Report to the Club of Rome

The strong point of this study by the Director of the International Management Institute in Geneva for the Club of Rome is a stimulating inquiry as to whether some of the national characteristics which made different societies effective in the past are now having negative effects. The weak spot is a rather elementary summary of the problems of leading countries (Japan and Switzerland come off rather well). The most controversial part is the effort to relate social changes to world order.
