Richard Falk combines a keen legal mind with a passionate concern for human rights and deep distrust of official American policy in this as in other fields. His arguments here are familiar-against imperialism, for humane socialism, for nonofficial action on behalf of human rights-but the issues are clearly posed and the book is well worth reading.
