Nuclear Power Struggles: Industrial Competition and Proliferation Control
This excellent survey of the nuclear power industry tells in detail about countries, companies, products, and technologies. It suggests, quite persuasively, which will decline and which will stay strong, but leaves open the question of which will do best-that may depend on how governments treat their industries-and whether vicious competition for exports will foster the proliferation of nuclear weapons. To avoid this last, the authors want the nuclear powers to take the Nonproliferation Treaty seriously, and to provide technology to those who sign it.
