The Public and Atlantic Defense
The core of this book consists of case studies on public attitudes toward defense in seven NATO countries. The general conclusion is moderately encouraging, not in keeping with more alarmist views of erosion in public support for the Atlantic alliance. The subject is important, and this is a valuable book for those who are prepared to really study it. But its potential for reaching a wider audience would be greater if it were shorter and more concise.
