Latin America has become the primary export market for the Israeli arms industry, 18 countries having obtained armaments from that source. The author of this study-in-depth asserts, in fact, that the military component now dominates Israeli-Latin American relations, creating a subtle web of influence that is a tribute to realpolitik. The growth of the industry and its domestic justifications are explored, relations with the United States in this field are noted and case studies are provided for Argentina, Ecuador and Central America.
