Exchange rates, the debts of developing countries, and European unemployment are the large subjects tackled by Professor Dornbusch of MIT. Much of the book is in economists' language-formulas and graphs-but the analysis takes account of factors that escape theory and econometrics, and the conclusions about policy are clear and often challenging.
