Following the book's argument about the compelling stake of Western economic interests in the Namibian status quo, activists, journalists and scholars from a number of industrialized countries indict their nations' economic participation in Namibia. Now, however, as we contemplate the possibility of a settlement in that contested territory it is at least as interesting to speculate-which the book does not-on the future role of non-South African investors in a majority-ruled Namibia.
