Palestinians Between Israel And Jordan: Squaring The Triangle
The author professes to have engaged in a prodigious amount of research, but ne'er a footnote do we see. The reader is instead exposed to an argument not dissimilar to that of Ariel Sharon: Jordan is Palestine, and a Palestinian state centered in Amman, with or without some role for King Hussein, should be able to negotiate a border with Israel somewhere between the old 1967 lines and the Jordan River. All other alternatives are dismissed as unrealistic. At worst the text reads like an anti-PLO diatribe. Despite the title, the triangle has not been squared-nor is it clear what that means. A disappointing contribution to an important topic.
