Polite Protesters: The American Peace Movement of the 1980s
Activist and sociology professor John Lofland reveals, at least according to the dust jacket, the differences between the antiwar Vietnam-era protesters and the "polite protesters" of the 1980s, who shunned direct confrontation to turn to the politics of interest groups and lobbyists. But the book is written in a sociologist's jargon that is incomprehensible to me, so I really can't tell what it is about.
