Curzon: the Last Phase
A significant book, forming the third and last volume of the trilogy of which the other two books are the author's "Portrait of a Diplomatist" and "Peacemaking." Nicolson served as secretary to Lord Curzon in the stormy years following upon the conclusion of peace. He gives an intimate character study of his chief as well as a provocative analysis of British policy in the years 1919-1925. His critical ability and brilliant style stamp the book as one of the most illuminating volumes on British policy in modern times.
