This month the Brookings Institute Press will release Daniel Drezner's Avoiding Trivia: The Role of Strategic Planning in American Foreign Policy. Drezner, a professor of international politics at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, takes a critical look at the past and future of long-term strategic planning in U.S. foreign policy. The book draws upon a large pool of experts in government and academia including Aaron Friedberg, Richard Haass, Amy Zegart, and Bruce Jentleson.
