In early February, Wiley-Blackwell is releasing Causes of War by Jack S. Levy and William R. Thompson. Levy, a political science professor at Rutgers University, is a participating editor of Foreign Affairs’ custom book program Among Nations. William R. Thompson, a professor of political science at Indiana University, is also managing editor of International Studies Quarterly. Both authors are experts in the study of war. Here they use historical examples to present a comprehensive and scientifically minded review of theories on the origins of war.
