Superpower Involvement in the Middle East
Westview Press, 1985, 301 pp.
While the subject is familiar, the treatment of it in most of these papers is unorthodox and stimulating, whether one agrees with it or not. Those authors who discuss U.S. policy find much of it based on false assumptions and therefore doomed to fail. The contributors are Canadian, American and Israeli scholars; none is from the Arab world, and Palestinian and Arab viewpoints get something less than due consideration.
