South Africa's Other Whites: Voices for Change

By Robert Scott Jaster and Shirley Kew Jaster

St. Martin's Press, 1993, 151 pp.

Not all South African whites approved of apartheid, but only a small fraction of those who disapproved worked for fundamental change. This book profiles 13 such individuals and their work in diverse fields including mental health, peace, rural development, formal politics and business. Lawyers and clergy seem passed over for recognition, but perhaps the authors will bring us a sequel.
