Germany and the European Community: Beyond Hegemony and Containment
St. Martins Press, 1993, 237 pp.
A series of essays analyzing the attitudes of German interest groups and parties toward European unification and Germanys role (especially its economic and financial role) in the European Union. This book concludes that Germany is tightly integrated in the EC, and that the union's constitution may need to be overhauled. The parts of this book that are informative and complex are more satisfactory than their sum, which is elusive.
