Full Production without War
By Harold Loeb
Princeton University Press, 1946, 284 pp.
The gist of this book is that the occurrence of "non-production" in the United States economy is the result of insufficient effective demand to maintain the value of the supply at levels of full production. Maintaining that our economy is largely one of monopolistic competition, unable to translate increased efficiency into lower prices, the author suggests adjustments to remove the existence of under-utilized resources.
