Wooden Titan
Wooden Titan
By John W. Wheeler-Bennett
Morrow, 1936, 490 pp

Mr. Wheeler-Bennett has done more than merely debunk the Hindenburg myth by showing how unjustified is the curiously important place assigned the general-president in history; he has given us a profoundly satisfying synthesis of the last twenty years of German history. This can unqualifiedly be classed as one of the best books of the year.
