Alternative to Rearmament

By Jonathan Griffin
Macmillan, 1936
215 pp. $2.90

This little volume is eloquent proof of the disorientation of British thought. The author realizes that Britain cannot hope to protect herself with armaments. He therefore suggests various steps to increase the possibility of her immunity in the next war: a fresh start on collective security, an international air force, the abandonment of the Empire, hoarding foodstuffs, etc.
