Central Europe and the Western World

By Gerhard Schacher
Holt, 1936
224 pp. $2.75

An authority on Central Europe discusses the economic alternatives facing that area. He favors the Little Entente as the basis for the economic organization of the Danubian countries. He has a strong anti-German and anti-Hungarian bias, but is less critical of Italy. Recent events have rendered parts of this very worth-while book out of date.
