Survey of International Affairs 1935

For the first time since 1925 the "Survey" is published in two volumes. The first has as its unifying theme the beginning of rearmament in Germany and its consequences on the policies of the other Powers. The second volume is devoted to the conflict between Italy and Ethiopia from 1928 to September 1936. The military and economic phases of that struggle are carefully recorded, in addition to the usual authoritative treatment of the diplomatic side. This is an indispensable source for the study of the breakdown of collective security.
