The data and conclusions contained in this monograph derive from the author's personal study of conditions in Germany. He found that unemployment had been almost entirely eliminated, that labor organizations had been destroyed, that industry had lost most of its freedom of action, that economic self-sufficiency is proving impossible, that the armament program has cost 22 billion marks and that the public debt is around 38 billions. This latter figure, however, assumes that there is no secret debt.
