Our Trade with Britain: Bases for a Reciprocal Tariff Agreement

By Percy Wells Bidwell

Council on Foreign Relations, 1938, 129 pp.

This book is the outcome of an investigation made by a group of members of the Council on Foreign Relations. The author, formerly Economist of the United States Tariff Commission, analyzes the trade between Great Britain and the United States, the postwar commercial policy of the two countries, and the pros and cons of a reciprocal tariff agreement. This timely little volume supplies the necessary background for understanding the negotiations now in progress for an Anglo-American trade agreement. There is a selected bibliography and a statistical appendix.
