The Defence of Democracy

By F. Elwyn Jones
Dutton, 1938
352 pp. $2.50

A young British labor attorney, author of "Hitler's Drive to the East," exposes the techniques, overt and covert, by which the two great Fascist Powers are undermining democracy throughout the world. Mr. Jones' method appears strictly factual though his account is of necessity somewhat sketchy. There are also chapters on the "subversive" movements inside Germany and Italy.
