Inside Asia
Inside Asia
By John Gunther
Harper, 1939, 599 pp

This latest book by a foremost journalist is a fitting counterpart to his "Inside Europe." Proceeding from Japan south and westward through China, Singapore, India and the Near East, he sketches the leading personalities and gives a compact précis of the principal problems in each of the countries. Mr. Gunther recently returned from an extensive tour of all the most exposed parts of Asia and his account has timeliness as well as readability.
