El Nazismo En El Brasil

By Pedro Motta Lima and Jose Barboza Mello
Claridad, 1938
220 pp. $0.00

Two Brazilians, apparently in exile, after arraigning the government of Vargas as dictatorial, describe in detail the economic and political penetration of the totalitarian Powers into Brazil, the growth of indigenous Fascist movements, and the tie-up between the former and the latter. They regard the return of Aranha to office and the suppression of the abortive coup d'état in 1938 as hopeful signs for the future of democracy and national solidarity in Brazil.
