Stalin: Czar of All the Russias

Stalin: Czar of All the Russias

By Eugene Lyons

Lippincott, 1940, 292 pp.

A hard-hitting and highly "unauthorized" biography, by the author of "Assignment in Utopia." Mr. Lyons interprets the life of the Soviet dictator as a symbol of the changes through which Russia has passed in the last half-century. Though not as original or full as Souvarine's work on Stalin, this book is more readable.
