France in Defeat

By Percy J. Philip
Muller, 1941
96 pp. $2.00

Except for chapter seven, which was originally an address delivered in Canada in November 1940, this little book consists of the articles which Mr. Philip, for many years Paris correspondent of the New York Times, wrote for his paper upon his arrival in the United States after the collapse of France. Revelations made since these articles were first published have now dulled their edge somewhat.
