History in My Time
By Otto Strasser
Cape, 1941, 262 pp

In the last year and a half two books have appeared about Strasser, an early collaborator of Hitler's who later deviated leftward and fled from Germany. One was called "Hitler and I," by Strasser himself, the other, "Nemesis? The Story of Otto Strasser," by Douglas Reed. The present volume is devoted largely to Strasser's account of events in Germany from 1914 to Hitler's rise to power in 1933 and is interesting only where he can add personal testimony to events which by now are quite well-known.
