Inside Latin America

By John Gunther

Harper, 1941, 498 pp.

A companion to "Inside Europe" and "Inside Asia." Mr. Gunther, one of America's most indefatigable and brilliant journalists, recently returned from a swing through all of the twenty Latin American Republics, where he interviewed many of the leading personalities in political, cultural and business life. However, as in his other books, he does not merely report his own personal observations but seeks to give a rounded and up-to-the-minute bird's-eye view of the countries he visited. As Gunther addicts would expect, "Inside Latin America" is easy to read.
