M. Lazareff was, before fleeing collaborationist France, editor of the largest newspaper in that country, Paris-Soir. In this informative but not very well constructed book he takes his readers behind the scenes of French political and journalistic life to show them the venality, stupidity and downright treason which paved the way for the collapse of the Third Republic.
