A useful series which contains a wealth of factual information arranged by countries -- though it must be remembered, of course, that statistics for the Far East are meager and that those available are often not much better than approximations. The area surveyed includes the eastern as well as the western shores of the Pacific Ocean. The following titles have appeared thus far: "Population and Land Utilization," by Karl J. Pelzer (1941, 215 p. $2.00); "Transportation and Foreign Trade," by Katrine R. C. Greene and Joseph D. Phillips (1942, 208 p. $2.00); "Industrialization of the Western Pacific," by Kate L. Mitchell (1942, 322 p. $2.50).
