The Nazi Underground in South America
The Nazi Underground in South America
By Hugo Fernandez Artucio
Farrar, 1942, 311 pp

Señor Fernandez is a Uruguayan professor who, with much industry and courage, has been instrumental in exposing the subversive activities of the Axis south of Panama. In this book he has collected a mass of information about those activities in each of the South American republics, though he fails to provide adequate documentation. He is naturally best informed about his own country and its neighbor, Argentina. Whether or not some of his fears are justified only history can reveal, but in any case his warning is certainly one that the Americas can ignore only at their peril.
