Report from Tokyo

By Joseph C. Grew
Simon and Schuster, 1942
88 pp. $1.00

In this little book Mr. Grew has taken the substance of the speeches he has been delivering around the country and, with suitable additions, made it into a "report" to the American people concerning the nature of the Asiatic enemy they are fighting. The former Ambassador seeks to disillusion his countrymen of any idea that the defeat of Japan can be purchased cheaply -- in time, treasure or lives.
