Where's the Money Coming from?

By Stuart Chase
Twentieth Century Fund, 1943
179 pp. $1.00

This is the third volume in Mr. Chase's series "When the War Ends." Even though he has moderated his former reliance on the state as the directing "planner" and operator of the economic machine, he still finds that it has a very necessary function to fulfill in "compensating" for the inadequacies of private enterprise during lean years by means of government spending, based on both taxation and borrowing.
