The Pattern of Soviet Power

By Edgar Snow
Random House, 1945
219 pp. $2.75

Some of the material in this book has already appeared in the author's articles in the Saturday Evening Post. Though Mr. Snow does not say much that is new here, his attitude of friendly understanding, if not necessarily complete approval, for what the Soviets are trying to achieve in international politics is a corrective to what appears to be an increasingly hostile tone on the part of many other writers on Russia.
