Desert Journey

By George Rodger
Cresset, 1944
151 pp. $15.00

The author is an American newspaperman who -- between September 1940 and December 1941--went from London to Bengasi, visiting en route West Africa, General LeClerc's force in the Libyan Desert, Syria at the time of Wilson's campaign there, Trans-Jordan, Teheran at the moment when British and Russian troops met in Iran, and the Khyber Pass. Both his text and his photographic illustrations will be found most interesting.
