Foundations of National Power

By Harold and Margaret Sprout
Princeton University Press, 1945
774 pp. $4.25

These "Readings on World Politics and American Security" are a by-product of a course on world affairs given in the Navy college training program, particularly at Princeton. The editors have grouped their readings under five large headings, both topical and regional, and they have supplied chapter introductions and other original matter of their own in order to provide greater continuity. The material was chosen from many sources -- books, pamphlets, atlases and magazines.
