La Próxima Guerra

By Lieut. Gen. Alfredo Kindelán
Aguilar, 1945
277 pp. $0.00

When the author wrote this remarkable volume he was Director of the Escuela Superior of the Spanish Army. Early this year it was reported that, as an avowed monarchist, he had fallen from grace and been exiled to one of the Canary Islands. This book, which has gone through several editions, first reviews the history of Russian expansion since the early medieval period, and then proceeds to describe the forthcoming war which the united power of the Slav and German peoples will unleash upon the world. The text is accompanied by numerous sketch maps after the fashion of contemporary Spanish geopolitics. The concluding chapters deal with the strategic and tactical lessons to be learned from the recent conflict.
