Ethiopia Under Hailé Selassié

By Christine Sandford
Dent, 1946
149 pp. $10.00

This is definitely one of the better books on modern Ethiopia. The author's husband, Brigadier Sandford, led the patriot troops in the reconquest of the country from the Fascists, and both of them have lived near Addis Ababa for a number of years. Mrs. Sandford describes in concrete detail the remarkable progress made during the reign of the present monarch.
