Education in Fascist Italy
Education in Fascist Italy
By L. Minio-Paluello
Oxford University Press (for the Royal Institute of International Affairs), 1946, 236 pp

After first reviewing the evolution of Italian educational policy from 1859 to the March on Rome, the author describes the processes by which the Fascists sought to "reform" the schools into instruments for Party indoctrination. Himself a student in Fascist Italy, he gives the impression that the evil effects of Fascist schooling may not have been as deep or lasting as we might have expected.
