This Is My Story
This Is My Story
By Louis Francis Budenz
Whittlesey House, 1947, 379 pp

Born and educated as a Catholic, Budenz drifted away from the Church and in 1935 entered the American Communist Party, where for several years he was on the National Committee and managing editor of the Daily Worker. In 1945 he foresook Marxism and was readmitted to the Catholic Church. This is his own story of his psychological migration from one faith to another, and return. It throws a lurid light on the intellectual depravity of Soviet-dominated Communist leaders in this country but is largely devoid of startling "inside" revelations.
