I 600 Giorni Di Mussolini
I 600 Giorni Di Mussolini
By Ermanno Amicucci
Faro, 1948, 313 pp

Amicucci was editor of the Corriere della Sera of Milan, once Italy's leading newspaper, under the neo-Fascist Republic; and in this strategic position he observed at close range the men and events of that singular chapter in Italian history. His story is primarily that of Mussolini's adventures from his rescue by Nazi parachutists to his death. The author adds few facts to the record but sheds much light on personal relationships among the Fascist and Nazi leaders.
