The Struggle for Germany

By Drew Middleton
Bobbs-Merrill, 1949
304 pp. $3.00

The head of The New York Times office in Berlin gives here one of the best reports on the Germany emerging from the rubble of Nazism. He sticks pretty closely to recording the facts as he sees them, but he makes it plain that he does not despair of reintegrating Germany into the western world.
